Flowers
are very important accessories you will add to your attire on your
wedding day. The choice of flower and bouquet style is a reflection
of your personality and should be decided on with a qualified florist.
A carefully selected blend can invoke the perfect
ambiance for your romantic event. The rush of fragrant flowers upon
entering the wedding venue is in itself intoxicating, but first
things first. Finding a florist that can meet all of your wedding
needs and budget will be a fulfilling quest but before starting
your journey, you should know what the color schematics will be
for the wedding.
What
to do first
Decide on colors.
What color do you want your bridesmaids' dresses
to be? What accent color will accompany you choices?
Purchase a couple of bridal magazines
and begin the tear out process of gathering pictures of different
colors, shapes and arrangements that you like. Put them in you're
wedding planner or in a folder labeled FLOWERS.
Decide on how much of the wedding budget will
be allocated for flowers. Keep in mind
the wide variety of accessory and décor possibilities (i.e.
bouquets, headpieces, altar arrangements, and garlands just to name
a few). Begin interviewing florists 4-5 months before the wedding.
Compare estimated prices and creativity before you make you final
decision.
Note:
When you go to the florist, be sure to bring the pictures you've
collected of the flowers and styles you like, a picture of your
dress and possible swatches of the bridesmaid's gown.
