Groom's CornerGroom's Corner

GroomPlanning the event of a lifetime can be a great joy and prove to be a worthy foe. The process can become very stressful for the bride-to-be so you may find yourself at odds with a stressed-out versionof your future wife.

One day you may enjoy her giggles of glee and the next you may find her crying for no apparent reason. In these situations, take it from me fellas- just be there to hold and comfort her. Sometimes you don't have to say a word- this often works well to take the tension out of the moment.

As the preparation progresses, you may be asked questions you may never be asked again. "What china pattern do you prefer? What stems should we get to compliment the place setting? What do you think about these flowers? Where should I seat your Aunt Mimi at the reception?" Before the planning even starts, have an honest discussion with your fiancé to let her know what level of interest may be in gift registration, flower selections, seating arrangements, etc. this will help you avoid the deer in headlights look. Just keep in mind that she will need all of your support and involvement along the way. Plus this is also your big day so enjoy the journey together; this is the first of many.
